Photo album must haves
On Monday night we meet with our photographer to go over the “photo shot list” of all the must have photos. I know she’ll capture all of the standard / formal shots (us with family, wedding party, priest, grandparents, the ceremony, standard reception photos, etc.) but what I need help with are the “photo-journalistic” shots.
Photos that we might want include:
Still shots of the bouquets, corsages, shoes, jewelry, etc.
Bridesmaids helping me carry my train
Alex’s dad / grandpa fixing Alex’s tie
Photo of Alex helping me in / out of the car
Wedding party crossing the street downtown
Images of the place cards, centerpieces, programs, guest book, etc.
If the weather is nice, we’ll be taking photos downtown on Fountain Square and in Piatt Park. However, if Mother Nature does not cooperate, we’ll take photos up at Krohn Conservatory where it is always green and dry!
I’d love to hear about your “nice to have” shots, links to photos you like, suggestions of photos you love… or wish you would have had or forgot at your wedding! Thanks!

I hope your day is bright and sunny but it was nice to read you may go to Krohn Conservatory because that is where Grandpa and I had wedding pictures taken 53 years ago and it is still a beautiful place. Wishing you all the best for your special day. Love Grandma Mary
Who do you think inspired the location!? I would love to have a similar photo to the one of you and Grandpa Charlie in front of Krohn…it’s beautiful! I have a copy of it in my living room..I’ll have to scan it and add it to the soon so everyone can see. It’s my favorite!
…and Grandma and Grandpa…congratulations on celebrating your 53rd wedding anniversary this past week!
We are planning on doing our engangement pics in January and are thinking of Plan B being in the Krohn Conservatory. Is there a fee to use it? Do you have to get permission in advance?
Hey Katie! Yes, you have to pay a $150 deposit to reserve photography usage of Krohn Conservatory for one hour. Good luck with your event!
